Emmaus Courses
Faith is a Journey not a Destination
Wherever you are on your own journey; forging full steam ahead, side-tracked, stuck in a bit of a no-through road, or unsure about the very first step, it is always helpful to spend some time with a few other travelers.
Later this year we will be running an Emmaus Course to help people on their journey of faith. Stage 1 will help those exploring Confirmation in October. Stage 2 will help those confirmed last year to continue exploring their faith; and there will also be a junior course. The course is called Emmaus because it takes its inspiration from the account in Luke’s gospel where the risen Jesus appears to two of his followers who are running away from Jerusalem after the crucifixion. He walks alongside them, steadies them in their faith and gives them the courage to find their way again.
The course offers you the opportunity to walk in the company of others to discover more about the Christian faith and your own relationship with God. Perhaps you know someone who you could walk alongside and accompany them on their journey and the course.
If you would like to find out more information about any of these courses please phone Rev Tracey on 668260.
